We're rebuilding our Home Screen module from the ground up. You'll be able to add or remove as many content blocks as you like. We'll also make available lots of styling and personalization options for each content block.

Will we be able to choose from our Custom Post Types and the custom fields to show?

That is correct. You will be able to add custom post types and taxonomies to your home screen.
