Show your website’s header & footer in the web view of your app dashboard

AppMySite now allows you to manage the display of your website’s header and footer in the web view interface of your App Dashboard.

By default, the web view interface shows two menus – the website menu and the app menu. The addition of the new toggle to show or hide your website’s header and footer will let you choose between showing the website menu and app menu.

You can enable the toggle to show your website menu and disable it to show your app menu only.

The following points explain how the process works –

– Log-in to your AppMySite account.
– Head over to Dashboard under Appearance.
– Turn on the toggle in the Web view tab.
– Enter the URL of the webpage you want to display on the App Dashboard.
– Turn on the toggle below the URL field if you want to show your website menu within the app. This will basically display the header and footer of the webpage you entered earlier.
– Turn off the toggle if you only want to show the app menu. This will disable the website menu completely.
– Hit Save when you are done.

The feature to show or hide your website’s header and footer in web view will be available for mobile apps with code version 1.3.3 and above.

COVID-19 Price Revision: 50% off till 31st December 2020

Hi there,

It has been an unprecedented year for businesses. While some of us have been fortunate enough to continue working from home, there are others who face the overwhelming challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

When all of this is over, we hope you emerge as a leader, reinvented and transformed digitally.

In the meanwhile, we’d like to help your business where we can. Until the end of this year, we’ve reduced our annual subscription pricing by 50%. You’ll only have to pay half as much for any new apps created during this period.

It’s the least we can do to help out.

App Preview upgraded – New features added to improve app testing

The app preview section enables users to preview and test their mobile apps. We have introduced some new features to this section.

The following points provide an in-depth view of all the features in the app preview section.

Allows users to restart the testing process from the home screen. This is another important feature of an app testing standpoint. Users can directly push the restart button after making some design changes to get a preview of the new changes. This feature is available for both the emulators and is part of the new update.

iOS device selection
Provides users the option to preview the app on four different iOS device emulators. These devices include iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. This feature was part of the new update.

WooCommerce Guest Checkout now available

AppMySite has now enabled guest checkout for WooCommerce apps. Your shoppers can now buy products on your apps without logging in or registering.

Earlier, checkout was only possible for your customers if they created an account and logged in to your WooCommerce app. This meant, first-time customers on your app were required to register before they could proceed with the final checkout.

A lot of shoppers abandon their purchase journey if they are prompted to login or register during checkout. Guest checkout support will thus help you provide an unfettered shopping experience to your customers.

The checkout process for WooCommerce apps built on AppMySite now entails:

Guest checkout
This is a default setting for WooCommerce apps that will enable guest users to checkout without signing in or registering.

Show payment options during checkout
Enabling this option will allow your customers to see all the payment options available before proceeding to the final payment screen.

Update profile during checkout
Enabling this option will allow your customers to update their billing and shipping information, if necessary.

WooCommerce guest checkout is available for all mobile apps with code version 1.3.3 and above.
